Yealands focus on initiatives to leave the land better than they found it and use natural pest control measures in the vineyard such as their Kune Kune pigs who keep the vine rows tidy without being able to reach the grapes!

SUSTAINABILITY
Solar panels have been introduced in the winery and now produce 30% of the wineries power from the sun.

Yealands is New Zealand’s closest vineyard to the coast. The coastal breeze powers 3 wind turbines generating renewable energy to power the winery.

SUSTAINABILITY
To promote biodiversity, Yealands have planted more than 200,000 native shrubs and flaxes, and created 25 wetlands at the vineyard.

The Loxarel cellar was born from the innovative spirit of Josep Mitjans who, at just 16 years old, made his first 1,000 bottles of sparkling wine.

SUSTAINABILITY
In 2005 the winery focused on regulating and limiting production, introducing green pruning with herds, including natural fertilizers. Organic & Biodynamic.

‘Luce’ means light, and represents the warmth of the sun, and the warmth of this wine made by the Frescobaldi family in Italy’s most respected region of Montalcino.

Flavours of blackcurrant, coffee and caramel in a ripe red wine with a long and lingering finish.

During sunlight hours, the vineyard uses solar power to play classical music to the vines. Studies have shown that the vines respond positively to the vibrations and sound waves which helps improve vine health!

Luscious black cherries & spice

SUSTAINABILITY
The vineyard keeps 100 free-range chickens who act as a natural form of pest control and they also provide some pretty delicious free-range eggs!
