Lark in the park this Bank Holiday

Whether you’re going for gold or just headed to your local park, we’ve got some great ideas for games to help you make the most of your three day weekend.

Why not use one of our park game suggestions to decide who’s going to pay for our fabulous Bites and Bubbles offer this weekend. Let’s hope it isn’t you!

Swing ball

You’ve got to swing it to win it. Take this childhood favourite to the next level, the more people you add the harder it gets.

So what are you waiting for? Grab some of your friends and a couple of bats and let the games begin!

Rounders

There are things from school that should remain in the past: soggy sandwiches and smelly PE kit maybe, but not a game of rounders.

Best played with a big group, all you need to do is pick a spot for your pitch, and you’ll be transported back in time to your school days (hopefully, it’s a bit more fun than school was).

Boules

Apparently, Kim Kardashian is a fan. OK, maybe not, but if you’re looking for something a little more relaxed boules is the one for you.

Made for long afternoons in St Tropez, it’s a French classic. Played using pétanque metal balls, the aim of the game is to get it as close to the wooden target ball as possible. Sounds easy, well it’s not.

Limbo

Are you ready to get low? Limbo is the ultimate entry-level park game; the key is to get as low as possible bending backwards without falling over.

You’ll need two people to hold the pole or a ribbon (who has a spare pole?).
